A Michigander transplanted in Virginia. At home, everywhere.
If I have a camera in my hands, I’m happy. If I’m reporting on an important event or profiling an important figure, I’m excited. If I’m adding color and flowing words on a page, I’m cozy. My work has taken me to incredible places, and I have been honored to have my work published and consumed by hundreds of thousands of people. Whether traveling on assignment or just exploring on my own, I try to bring back images and words that connect us to our world.
In between work, I’m also a skier, student, and bookworm. I am a student at Andrews University studying digital communication with an emphasis on journalism, and a J.N. Andrews Honors Scholar. Some of my favorite books include “The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay” by Michael Chabon, “All of Us Together in the End” by Matthew Vollmer, “Rough Sleepers” by Tracy Kidder, and “Educated” by Tara Westover. I’m also a political and news nerd, so you’ll find me deeply engaged with current events in North America and beyond.
